NC Associates are looking to recruit an experienced, proactive, and service-driven Building Manager to take full operational responsibility for a key commercial site in Didsbury. You will be the main point of contact for tenants, visitors, and contractors, ensuring smooth day-to-day building operations and an outstanding occupier experience.

This is a hands-on role with autonomy and responsibility.  You’ll have the opportunity to directly shape how the building is run and contribute to tenant satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Tenant Experience & Engagement

  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times
  • Act as primary contact for tenants, visitors, and contractors
  • Address enquiries efficiently and maintain positive occupier relationships

Building & Operational Management

  • Full operational responsibility for the site
  • Monitor building performance, proactively identifying maintenance or operational improvements
  • Conduct inspections and manage repair programs

Contractor & Compliance Oversight

  • Supervise contractors to ensure work is safe and to standard
  • Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, environmental, and statutory requirements
  • Keep records, asset registers, and testing documentation up to date

Health & Safety & Systems Management

  • Promote a safe and compliant working environment
  • Monitor building systems (CCTV, alarms, access control) and liaise with specialists when needed
  • Support statutory inspections and safety procedures

Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a Building Manager or Facilities Management role
  • Strong tenant engagement and customer service skills
  • Confidence managing contractors and coordinating works
  • Proactive, hands-on, and able to take ownership
  • Knowledge of building systems and Health & Safety requirements
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications desirable
