Senior Design Engineer | Bournemouth | £55,000
Are you a Senior Design Engineer who thrives in a fast–paced engineering environment where precision, autonomy and technical leadership are front and centre? As a Senior Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering innovative mechanical solutions, improving processes, and ensuring complex products meet strict cost, quality and regulatory expectations.

As a Senior Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading design activities to meet programme budgets, milestones and engineering gates
- Ensuring all engineering outputs align with internal processes, quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Coordinating daily reviews with engineering teams, providing guidance and technical direction
- Leading troubleshooting and failure investigations when required
- Producing qualification documents and supporting engineering change management
- Driving improvements through lessons learned and operational excellence initiatives
As a Senior Design Engineer, your experience will include:
- Experience across manufacturing and design processes
- Strong development, problem-solving and technical leadership skills
- Proven ability to deliver and report against KPIs
- Excellent communication skills across multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Strong attention to detail with process-driven working
- A degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant engineering apprenticeship (desirable)
