Mechanical Project Engineer (Freelance) - Major London Rail Project

Are you a talented freelance Mechanical Project Engineer looking for your next challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a major London rail project, working with a well-known contractor on a key infrastructure scheme in West London.

This is a fantastic chance to work on a high-profile, long-term project where you'll be part of a dynamic team, playing a crucial role in the successful delivery of mechanical systems.

We are looking for someone to start in the next couple of weeks for a freelance contract that is anticipated to last for 18 months to 2 years.

In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing the mechanical aspects of the project, from design coordination and stakeholder management to installation and commissioning. You'll ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, on time, and within budget, following strict safety and quality protocols.

What we're looking for:

  • A Mechanical Engineering degree and a strong foundation in mechanical principles.

  • Proven experience working on NEC projects in a delivery or design capacity.

  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach and excellent communication skills.

  • The ability to work on-site and in our head office five days a week.
