Our Client, a Greater Manchester council is seeking a Children's Social Worker to join their First Response Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

• Work as part of the First Response Team to align Family Help Services with the Front Door of Social Care, supporting early intervention and community-based responses.
• Provide expert advice, guidance, and modelling of best practice to partners, demonstrating how to assess risk, coordinate plans, and enable effective multi-agency intervention with families.
• Engage with families in the community to build relationships, identify strengths, and support access to appropriate services, ensuring needs are met at the right level.
• Support the Front Door process by receiving and triaging referrals, sharing information with partners, and identifying risk, need, and strengths to ensure timely and appropriate work transfer.
• Work flexibly, including outside core business hours when required, in response to service needs and urgent situations.
• Coach, support, and provide supervision to designated staff and students, contributing to their professional development and quality of practice.
• Promote high-quality, strengths-based social work practice across the service, contributing to continuous improvement and positive outcomes for children and families.

Requirements of this role:

• Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
• Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience
