About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Head of Service – Market Development & Quality Assurance to lead the development, sustainability, and quality oversight of the Adult Social Care provider market.

The role will ensure a diverse, sustainable, and high-quality provider market that supports the council’s duties under the Care Act 2014.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead market shaping and development across Adult Social Care services
• Oversee provider quality assurance and improvement frameworks
• Manage provider risk and escalation processes
• Work with providers to ensure high-quality services and sustainable provision
• Lead engagement with providers regulated by the Care Quality Commission.

Key Requirements

• Experience leading commissioning or market management teams
• Strong understanding of provider quality and contract monitoring
• Knowledge of adult social care regulation and provider markets.
