Duties:

* Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of customer accounts

* Contact customers via phone or email to discuss outstanding payments and resolve any issues

* Analyse customer credit profiles and make decisions regarding credit limits and terms

Job Purpose:

This role is to ensure the administration for credit notes and outstanding debts are recorded, finalized in accurate and a timely manner.

Main Duties*:

Your hours of work will be Monday to Friday 12-8, with 3 days working from home and 2 in the office. The days you are in the office you will finish at 5pm when the office closes and then finish your shift working from home until 8pm. This is due to our client being a large international retailer and you will need to deal with the US market also.

The range of duties of a Credit Controller is wide and will be expected to include:

* Raising credit notes

* Managing customer queries via telephone/email

* Liaising with Sales Team

* Chasing outstanding debt

* Sending out overdue letters

* Responding to a high volume of enquiries via phone/email

* Produce monthly statements

* Open new accounts

* Receive customer payments

* Attend monthly aged debt meetings

* Monitor accounts inbox

* Aftersales

* The use of customer portals

- Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts, ensuring timely collection of payments- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies or disputes- Utilize accounting software to update customer information and generate reports- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and providing payment options

Experience:

* Previous experience in credit control or collections preferred

* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

* Proficient in data entry and comfortable working with accounting software

* Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills

* Ability to analyze financial information and make sound decisions

* Experience with telemarketing or sales is a plus
