Job Title: MET Technician

Location: Westcliff-on-Sea

Salary: Up to £45,000 (DOE) + bonus + excellent benefits

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm, plus every other Saturday (7:00am - 12:00pm)

Our client is a well-established, award-winning independent accident repair centre based in Westcliff-on-Sea, with over 25 years of industry experience. Originally founded in the Midlands, the business has grown rapidly through organic expansion and continues to build a strong reputation within the vehicle body repair sector.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced MET Technician (Stripper / Fitter) to join their busy and professional body shop team.

The Role

As an MET Technician, you will play a key role in the repair process, ensuring vehicles are dismantled, repaired, and reassembled to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out all necessary mechanical and bodywork repairs on allocated vehicles
• Dismantle vehicles in preparation for panel and paint work
• Perform inspections, fault-finding, and diagnostic assessments
• Accurately identify and order required replacement parts
• Reassemble vehicles to manufacturer and pre-accident specifications
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and within agreed timescales

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have proven experience as an MET Technician / Stripper Fitter
• Be able to manage your workload effectively and meet deadlines
• Work confidently both independently and as part of a team
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, even under pressure
• Follow manufacturer guidelines and repair standards
• Demonstrate flexibility and a proactive approach
• Be committed to delivering excellent customer satisfaction

You will also strictly adhere to Health & Safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
