TXM Recruit is working with a well-established engineering and manufacturing business to recruit a Service Engineer to join their expanding operations team.

This is a varied, hands-on position suited to an engineer who enjoys problem-solving, working with complex equipment, and delivering high-quality technical support both on-site and in the field.

The Role As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting customers through maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and technical assistance. You will play a key role in ensuring products perform to the highest standards while delivering a professional and responsive service.

This position offers a balance of site-based work and travel to customer locations, providing excellent exposure to different environments and challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Support & Field Service

Deliver professional, customer-focused technical support
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
Explain technical issues and solutions in a clear and accessible way
Provide training to end users on equipment and systems
Attend customer sites as required, including occasional overnight stays
Manage and resolve service-related issues effectivelyService Delivery & Operations

Plan, prioritise, and complete service activities within agreed timeframes
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
Maintain tools, equipment, and testing systems to required standards
Complete accurate service documentation, reports, and records
Support spare parts management and inventory processes
Contribute to continuous improvement of service procedures and processesSkills & Experience Essential

HNC (or equivalent) or relevant hands-on engineering experience
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Experience within an engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment
Knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems
Understanding of health and safety requirements
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)Desirable

Experience working on complex engineered products
Knowledge of continuous improvement or lean principles
