🔹 Purpose of the Role:
As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you'll be a role model, a mentor, and a consistent, caring adult in the lives of children and young people living in residential care. You'll play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment that helps them grow, heal, and build brighter futures.
💙 What You'll Be Doing:

Providing consistent emotional and behavioural support to children and young people in your care.
*
Helping them develop essential life skills and supporting them on their journey to independence.
*
Creating a stable, secure, and loving home environment where every child feels seen, heard, and valued.
*
Supporting educational needs, health appointments, and meaningful social experiences.
*
Following individual care plans and safeguarding procedures to ensure the highest standards of care.
*
Keeping clear and accurate records of daily observations, incidents, and progress.
*
Being a committed team player - attending meetings, sharing insights, and always looking to learn and improve.
*
Working in line with Ofsted and the Children's Homes Regulations to deliver exceptional care.
📚 What You'll Need:
Essential:
*
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or a commitment to achieve this within 2 years of starting).
*
Up-to-date training in Safeguarding, First Aid, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and Food Hygiene.
Desirable:
*
Training in behaviour support and de-escalation techniques (e.g., NAPI, Team Teach, MAPA, PRICE).
*
Understanding of trauma-informed practice and child development
