Event Operations Executive £23,000 + Bonus + Excellent Career Prospects Based in the City of London Ref: JW101018 My client an international Events and Media organisation that deliver subscription-based content through digital, print, conferencing and events channels. They deliver high quality B2B information services across their specialist sectors including Energy and Agriculture, and are supplemented with additional online resources. In recent years, the company has been at the forefront of development in new media technologies, in order to enhance and expand the delivery of its content services. The company's had a digital transformation recently, and are now also focusing on marketing automation. They provide independent commentary across all communities and offer targeted end-to-end media solutions to their sponsorship partners. The role would ideally suit an Event Management graduate looking to build their career within Event Logistics! Purpose of the role As Event Operations Executive, you will ensure the smooth running and successful management of multiple events from planning to execution. You will report to the Head of Operations and support them in successfully running the events and will play a role in contributing and shaping the look and feel of the events, bringing new initiatives and ideas to the events. The environment is vibrant and challenging, so you have to be able to work on multiple projects at once. Event Operations Executive requirements: The position is best-suited to a creative, self-motivated and confident individual who is happy to work individually and as part of a team. - Minimum of 6 months recent experience working on Events and/or Conferences, as well as administrative support experience - Must be educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably within Events - Exposure to cost management, forecasting and budgeting across events - High level of PC literacy is required (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) - Proven collaborative capabilities with both internal stakeholders and external partners - Strong communication skills, with the ability to flex as appropriate and build strong relationships - Good time management and ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines - Good attention to detail - Ideas generated, able to bring ideas to the table with confidence and deliver them through. - Naturally inquisitive to achieve organisational goals. Event Operations Executive Responsibilities: - Client liaison with all sponsors in the run up to the event, gathering necessary documents and materials in time for deadlines - Delivery of sponsored items - meetings, seat-drops, drinks receptions, lunches, private dinners - Close internal communication with the sales team to ensure expectations are met before, during and after the event - Assisting the conference producer in managing all speaker prep on the lead up to the conference including updating bios, panel preparation and website updates. - Handling any logistical questions regarding speaker travel and accommodation if required - Ensuring all speakers are prepared for the event and have presentations ready before they arrive - Managing delegate registration and reporting including badge design and process that registration runs seamless on the day - Working with the Head of Operations on confirming set-up, floor plans, menus, drinks receptions, final numbers - Accommodation - sending rooming lists through to the hotel once all confirmed by speakers, sponsors, delegate This role offers the successful candidate an incredible opportunity to gain a wealth of exposure to the Events industry, with on-going training and progression available!  To be considered, please do not hesitate in sending your CV to Jo today!
