Network Engineer – Portsmouth – Up to £50,000

Chapman Tate Associates is working with a well-established Managed Service Provider based in Portsmouth that is looking to add an experienced Network Engineer to its team. This role will suit someone who is confident working in fast-paced, multi-customer environments and has strong hands-on experience with both Aruba and Cisco technologies.

Role Overview

The Network Engineer will be responsible for supporting, maintaining and developing customer network infrastructures. You will work across a variety of environments, providing both BAU support and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, configure and maintain network infrastructure across customer sites.
• Support and troubleshoot complex LAN/WAN environments.
• Act as an escalation point for advanced network issues.
• Monitor network performance and carry out diagnostics and optimisation.
• Assist with network upgrades, migrations and customer project delivery.
• Produce technical documentation and contribute to continuous service improvement.

Required Experience

• Strong commercial experience with Aruba networking (switching, wireless; ClearPass experience is beneficial).
• Solid background with Cisco routing and switching (CCNA or CCNP advantageous).
• Good understanding of VLANs, VPNs, firewalls and general network security principles.
• Experience working in an MSP or multi-customer environment is highly desirable.
• Confident in troubleshooting and managing enterprise network environments.
