Deputy Care Home Manager
Location: Southend-on-Sea
Salary: Up to £38,000 per year
Hours: 40 hours/week, Day Shift
Job Type: Full-time, In-person

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to join our medium-sized, family-run residential care home in Southend-on-Sea, rated GOOD by the CQC. We provide person-centred care in a friendly, supportive environment where staff are valued and career growth is encouraged.

As Deputy Manager, you will work alongside the Home Manager to lead the team and maintain high standards of care. Your responsibilities will include care planning, audits, and supporting daily operations. You will also lead the home in the Manager's absence.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support the care team

Ensure safe, person-centred care in line with CQC standards

Oversee care plans, compliance, and audits

Manage staff supervision and development

Build strong relationships with residents, families, and professionals

About You:

Experience in a leadership role within residential care

Good knowledge of care regulations and quality standards

*

NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Level 5 desirable)

Proactive, organised, and team-focused
