Multi-Skilled Machine Tool Fitter
Location: Coventry (Onsite, with some overseas travel)
Salary: £30,000-£35,000

My client, a well-established precision engineering manufacturer, is looking for a Multi-Skilled Machine Tool Fitter to join their team. This hands-on role focuses on building and assembling high-precision machinery to exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Build and assemble complex machinery from engineering and assembly drawings

* Carry out precision fitting, including bearings and close tolerance components

* Perform drilling, tapping, and general fitting work

* Install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including testing and calibration

* Install pipework, cabling, switches, sensors, and motors

* Use toolroom machinery such as lathes, mills, and grinders

* Support customer site visits when required

Requirements

* Strong experience in machine tool building or complex mechanical assembly

* Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings

* Experience working to tight tolerances

* Competent with workshop machinery and lifting equipment

* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
