This is a brand new Financial Controller role based in Manchester city centre, with a well-respected and growing business. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you'll lead a team of three and take ownership of delivering accurate monthly management accounts and reporting. The role also involves managing internal stakeholders and supporting the development of your team.

Description
- Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports.
- Manage a team of 3 transactional finance staff.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and reporting standards.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes for the organisation.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the leadership team.
- Supervise and support the finance team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Monitor cash flow and manage financial risk effectively.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and reviews.
- Manage internal stakeholders.
- Identify and implement process improvements within the finance function.
Profile
A successful Financial Controller should have:
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Proven experience in financial management within a private or public sector background.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Competence in using accounting software and financial tools.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process optimisation.
