This role involves sanding, masking, cleaning, and priming surfaces in accordance with industry standards and company specifications.Key Responsibilities:* Surface Preparation* Sanding and smoothing surfaces to be painted.* Masking and taping areas not to be painted.* Applying primers and sealers to surfaces.* Applying safety Decals/Labels to Passenger Rolling stock Vehicles.* Inspecting surfaces for imperfections and ensuring proper preparation.* Identifying and reporting any issues that could affect the paint finish.* Ensuring all work meets quality standards.* Operating and maintaining tools and equipment used in surface preparation.* Mixing and preparing paint and other materials as needed.* Safely handling hazardous materials and adhering to safety protocols.* Working closely with painters and other team members to ensure seamless workflow.* Communicating any issues or delays to Team Leaders.* Keeping the work area clean and organized.* Performing routine maintenance on equipment to ensure functionality and safety.Person Specification:* Previous experience in Transport body repair or paint preparation is Essential* NVQ level 2 or equivalent (desirable) but not essential * Strong attention to detail.* Ability to follow instructions and work independently.* Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.* Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.* Must be able to work alternating shiftsContact DetailsEmail: Phone: YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PASS A WORKPLACE MEDICAL EXAMINATION AND DRUG & ALCOHOL SCREENING BEFORE YOU ARE OFFERED THE ROLE.
