Responsible for efficient operation of hospital network and Wide Area Network support.
In collaboration with the Chief Technology Officer, helps to define the technological platforms which will be used will be used for ongoing network implementations and expansion

Customer Service Management:
-Incorporates the Customer Service KRA in developing and/or revising departmental policies and systems.

-Implements ITIL principles as relates to network operations and monitoring as well as assures proper uptime and SLA.
-Participates in multidisciplinary task forces, committees and projects, demonstrating team spirit and ability to work with different internal customers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
-Manages Network Services staff; allocates resources.
-In collaboration with management, and on a continuing basis, defines current and probable future needs of the network.
-Develops and implements plans to improve network services provided to all user groups.
-Schedules project implementations, allocating resources and meeting schedule requirements.
-Meets with Network Vendors to ensure the viability and integrity of the Network.
-Oversees and ensure ongoing "health” of the network.
-Develops network plan, identifying physical components and determining layout of the network; prepares schematics of layout.
-Analyzes and monitors Network activity, recommending changes and/or enhancements.
-Maintains the diagram of the physical and virtual network
-Selects hires and manages WAN staff in area of responsibility; and ensures staff remains adept at new technologies.
-Adheres to the policy on Conflict of Interest, which includes completion of a Conflict of Interest Certificate on an annual basis.
-Serves as a technical resource for the Network Services staff.
-High school diploma plus 4 years of relevant systems experience, or 4 years of college, or 2 years of technical training. Degree in Engineering is preferred
-8 years of relevant systems experience. (10 preferred.)
-CISCO network architecture experience for large scale implementations.
-In addition to functioning as an individual contributor, this position has formalized supervisory/management responsibility.
