Senior Civil Engineer - Manchester based - Upto £50k

About the Role

Our client, a leading consultancy in the Highways sector, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team in Manchester. Here the team are involved with some really exciting projects across the Civils sector, with a strong focus on projects in Power, Life Sciences, Nuclear and Defence.

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering a variety of Highway and civil engineering projects, contributing to the growth of the Highway project portfolio. You will work alongside a dedicated team of Engineers and Technicians to ensure the delivery of high-quality output. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients will be essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Provide Highway and Civil Engineering design and consultancy services
Produce design deliverables, site surveys, and construction stage duties
Liaise with clients, design/construction teams, and project management
Check calculations and detailed drawings to meet quality and compliance controls
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design team members to deliver efficient solutions
Ensure compliance with company quality management and best practices
Manage Engineers, Early Careers, and Technicians on relevant duties
Review subcontractors/suppliers calculations and drawings for compliance
Requirements

Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Demonstrable experience in delivering civil engineering projects
Strong experience in civil engineering design, detailing, and specification writing
Proficient in Microdrainage software for drainage design
Experience in highway geometry design and Civil 3D
