Manufacturing Production Manager

Somerset

Salary up to £51,500 P/A
4 days on, 4 days off

Kingston Barnes is seeking a Manufacturing Shift Manager for our client in the Somerset area. Our client is a renowned manufacturer and a household name. This is a great opportunity for an experienced manager within food production to join an established company and gain further experience.

The Role:

As Manufacturing Production Manager, you will lead a dedicated team in delivering production output at optimum efficiency while keeping people at the heart of everything. You'll be a key driver of operational performance and continuous improvement, working to provide the best product, service, and cost in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Ensure all production and hygiene plans are delivered to standard.

* Provide effective shift handovers and escalate issues where necessary.

* Maintain adherence to financial budgets.

* Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing efficiency gains.

* Collaborate with other shifts and stakeholders to drive collective success.

* Lead investigations into safety, quality, and mechanical breakdowns; drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.

* Maintain up-to-date training compliance and SOP documentation.

* Maintain high standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

* Uphold Health & Safety standards.

* Support team development through regular 1:1s and development plans.

* Ensure optimal labour productivity.

* Drive equipment effectiveness (OEE) and maintain food safety compliance.

About you:

* Experience in a similar role within the FMCG sector.

* Experience with managing other managers in a similar environment

* Proven track record in Lean and root cause analysis within complex manufacturing.

* HACCP Level 2 (Desirable)

* Food Safety Level 3 (Desirable)

* COSHH qualification (Desirable)
