About the Role:
My client are looking for an experienced and highly networked Business Development Manager to lead their strategic growth in the UK Data Centre market. Your primary focus will be on identifying, developing, and closing opportunities for energy infrastructure solutions (CHP, backup systems, thermal management, grid services, industrial heat pumps) within data centre developments and expansions.

Key Responsibilities

* Identify and engage key decision-makers at Data Centre developers, EPC contractors, and hyperscale operators.

* Build partnerships early in the planning stages of DC development.

* Develop a sales pipeline focused on energy infrastructure needs (e.g. resilient power, carbon reduction, energy efficiency).

* Understand and influence energy concept designs.

* Coordinate technical teams for solution design and proposals.

* Develop go-to-market strategies tailored to DC clients (hyperscale, colocation, edge).

* Track and respond to industry trends, including demand for low-carbon and grid-independent solutions

* Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and relevant networks.

Your Profile

* Strong track record in business development within energy, power systems, CHP, HVAC, or DC infrastructure.

* Deep understanding of the UK Data Centre market - especially site development and energy needs.

* Network in the DC ecosystem (developers, planners, EPCs, consultants).

* Strategic thinker with hands-on approach and deal-making ability.

* Excellent communication and commercial negotiation skills.

* Technical background a plus (mechanical/electrical engineering or related)
