JOB PURPOSE

To support the evolving operational needs of UK Manufacturing (UKM) and the USS division through effective planning, adaptability, and teamwork—primarily across Purchasing, Planning, and Shipping. This role plays a key part in enhancing performance metrics such as lead-time and OTIF (On Time In Full) by ensuring smooth operational support, effective stock and order management, and timely shipments.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

This is a flexible, cross-functional role that supports both UKM and USS operations:

*

Shipping Support: Monitor outstanding shipments, prepare shipping documents (e.g. Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Manifests), and book shipments promptly to minimise delay from RAF to dispatch. IATA training preferred for handling Dangerous Goods and managing USS orders end-to-end.

*

Planning Support: Assist the planner in maintaining accurate daily reports, generating CoPS, SMIs, and labels on time, and resolving production/RM queries to avoid delays in lead times.

*

Purchase & Planning Adjustments: Modify purchase and planning dates when necessary to improve alignment between requested and confirmed shipping dates.

*

Stock Movement Management: Coordinate off-site stock movements to ensure site levels remain within safe (COMAH) and practical limits. Actively use COMAH reporting to manage this efficiently.

*

Procurement Support: Handle buying messages, import clearances, consignment transfers, aged/undated orders, and Bio Encap actions under the guidance of the RM Purchaser or Operations Manager.

*

RM Intercompany Orders: Confirm stock availability, create loads, and liaise with purchasing teams and divisions to ensure smooth fulfilment.

*

Order Line Monitoring: Daily review of unshipped order lines; resolve discrepancies in collaboration with relevant teams to enable prompt invoicing.

*

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance processes; work with key stakeholders and improvement teams to turn these into actionable outcomes.

*

OTIF Review: Monitor FG and RM OTIF performance and collaborate with teams to identify and implement improvements.

*

USS Fulfilment: Manage the USS order book, stock levels, and shipping logistics to ensure timely delivery of stock and direct customer orders, including oversight of US storage and logistics routes to North America.

*

Customer Service Support: Provide assistance to the US Customer Services Lead on samples, packaging, and product information as needed.

*

Other Duties: Carry out additional tasks as required by the Operations Manager to meet business needs.

*

Flexible Working: Working hours may vary depending on operational demands and task locations
