Role: Junior Bookkeeper
Location: Brighton
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.30pm, 1-hour lunch). Minimum 30 hours / 4 days per week considered.
Pay: £23,800+ per annum (dependent on experience)

The Requirements:

Proven experience in bookkeeping

Strong understanding of cloud-based accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, ClearBooks)

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Familiarity with VAT and CIS return preparation

Comfortable with trial balance bookkeeping including reconciliations, accruals and prepayments

Competency with IRIS and Xero software advantageous

Must have legal right to work in the UK

The Role:

Carrying out bookkeeping duties for a range of clients using multiple software platforms

Supporting clients with bookkeeping and software queries

Liaising with clients to ensure records are accurate and VAT returns are submitted on time

Preparing schedules and reports as required

Completing and filing VAT and CIS returns

Ensuring client work is completed within set deadlines
