Job Introduction

At Turning Point, we support people across England with mental health issues. We make a real difference to their lives as we introduce them to the personal, flexible and realistic support they need to improve the quality of their lives in their communities. Passionate about people, you'll enjoy the scope and support to enhance your own life and career too, as you gain the experience, training and education you need to progress in your career with us.

Nottingham Personality Disorder Pathway is a new community based service that offers innovative and proactive support to individuals with a diagnosis of a Personality Disorder. The service delivers strengths-based and psychologically informed support using a blended method of both face to face and digital technology. A Core Therapeutic Programme involving elements of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Mood Management is offered alongside evidence-based Mindfulness and Relapse Prevention Skills. Individuals will be supported by a team consisting of Psychology Practitioners and Peer Support Workers.

Role Responsibility

As Team Leader you will support the development of this service alongside the Service Manager, providing line management to some team members and enabling the service to meet and exceed outcomes and quality requirements that promote independence and recovery for the individuals we support. You will have some oversight of referrals to the service and will work closely within our multi-disciplinary team, to ensure the best possible outcomes for individuals we support.

The Ideal Candidate

A background in coordinating in an environment supporting vulnerable people in the community is essential. Experience of service planning and ensuring that services are well positioned to meet contractual requirements would also be advantageous. You will also have experience of working with people with mental health needs.

You'll need previous relevant experience of using a person centred approach in a mental health setting and a good understanding of the complex needs of individuals we support. You must be capable of prioritising your own workload and using your initiative. Experience of working with individuals who have a personality disorder would be an advantage. An effective team player, you will possess good communication skills, a flexible recovery focussed approach, a positive attitude and be able to adapt in a changeable environment.
