Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or HLTA looking for a rewarding new challenge? Hays Education is working in partnership with a well-regarded Primary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in South Manchester to recruit a dedicated SEN HLTA to start in September 2025. Your New Role

• Support pupils aged 5-11 with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs and additional learning difficulties.
• Deliver tailored interventions and small group sessions under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
• Assist with planning and delivering engaging, differentiated learning activities.
• Help manage behaviour positively and consistently, using de-escalation strategies.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in a similar SEN support role.
• Proven experience working with children with challenging behaviour or in a PRU/alternative provision setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, resilient approach.
• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners and helping them thrive.
