Gleeson has partnered with a leading transport and logistics business to recruit a Head of Compliance for a pivotal role based in Derby.

Reporting directly to the C-suite, you'll lead audits, manage risk, and drive best-practice governance while fostering a proactive, safety-first culture.

Job Title: Head of Compliance

Location: Derby

Salary : £65,000 - 75,000 + Bonus

Key Responsibilities :

• Ensure DVSA compliance, manage operator licences, monitor driver performance and telematics data, and cultivate strong supplier relationships.
• Champion a robust safety culture, report directly to the C -suite, oversee audits and incident management, and guarantee contractors and facilities meet all legal and insurance obligations.
• Serve as the primary liaison with insurers, handle policy renewals and claims, and ensure prompt First Notification of Loss (FNOL) reporting.
• Review supplier and customer contracts, assist with dispute resolution, and promote best-practice governance across the business.
• Lead compliance initiatives, support ISO and FORS accreditation, and embed a proactive, safety-first mindset throughout the organisation.
