Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Plastics, Robotics & Automation
Location: Bradford / Leeds

Salary: £46,000 - £51,000 DOE

A leading manufacturer in the plastics and packaging sector are looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support its fast-paced, highly automated site. With continued investment in robotics, injection moulding machinery, and high-speed packaging lines, they are looking for someone from an equally demanding and technical environment — such as automotive, robotics, or injection moulding.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform planned and reactive maintenance on robotics, high-speed packaging equipment, and injection moulding machines

* Diagnose and repair faults across PLC-controlled systems, conveyors, pick-and-place units, servo drives, sensors, and pneumatic circuits

* Maintain and optimise automation and robotic systems (e.g. Fanuc, ABB, KUKA)

* Contribute to ongoing machine upgrades, CI projects, and root cause analysis

* Work closely with production and engineering teams to reduce downtime and maintain high output

Your Background:

* Level 3 qualified (or above) in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering

* Strong experience in plastics manufacturing, injection moulding, automotive production, or robotics-integrated environments

* Confident with electrical fault finding, interpreting schematics, and troubleshooting PLC inputs/outputs

* Knowledge of robotic handling systems, safety circuits, and modern control systems

* Comfortable working independently or as part of a proactive maintenance team
