An innovative and well-regarded construction consultancy is seeking a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their Surrey-based team. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will support the delivery of structured quantity surveying services across residential and development projects throughout the South East.

This Assistant Quantity Surveyor role offers excellent exposure to the full project lifecycle, working closely with experienced surveyors while developing strong commercial and technical skills within a supportive consultancy environment.

The Role

As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will support the commercial performance of projects from early feasibility through to final account.

The role will include:

• Assisting with cost plans, budgets and feasibility assessments* Supporting tender documentation and contract preparation* Assisting with subcontract procurement and tender analysis* Monitoring valuations, variations and change control* Supporting risk management and value engineering exercises* Assisting with interim valuations and final account preparation* Producing financial reports and maintaining project cost records

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor?

You will be commercially aware, organised and keen to develop your career within a professional consultancy environment.

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor must have:

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline* Experience working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Graduate QS within construction or consultancy* Good understanding of construction contracts* Experience supporting projects through the development lifecycle* Strong communication and organisational skills* MRICS ambition or working towards chartership desirable
