An outstanding and inclusive primary school in Woking is seeking to appoint a dedicated and passionate Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This full-time, permanent position is an excellent opportunity for experienced teachers or Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to make a meaningful impact in KS1 education.

Role Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons to a KS1 class (Year 1 or Year 2).

*

Use effective assessment to track pupil progress and tailor teaching to meet individual needs.

*

Foster a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment where all pupils can thrive.

*

Promote excellent behaviour and encourage a love of learning.

*

Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to school improvement.

*

Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support pupils' learning and development.

*

Participate in whole-school initiatives, staff meetings, and professional development activities.

Candidate Requirements:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.

*

Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.

*

Experience or familiarity with systematic phonics programmes (e.g., Little Wandle, Read Write Inc.) is desirable.

*

Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

*

Ability to differentiate teaching to support all learners, including those with additional needs.

*

A reflective and proactive approach to professional development.

*

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

*

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
