Field Technical Support and Training Engineer

Job title: Field Technical Support and Training Engineer

Main purpose of job: The candidate will provide technical support and product training on all Kentec products both in the UK and the Rest of the World.

Position is responsible for: Technical Support and product training on Kentec’s products

Length of contract: Permanent

Main duties

  • To deliver product training to customers and Kentec staff on all Kentec products
  • To manage training scheduling, training records and certification
  • To continually develop and improve the training provided to customers
  • To provide telephone, email and field support to customers and Kentec staff
  • To assist in the validation of new Kentec products, to ensure they meet customer requirements
  • To assist in the preparation and verification of technical documentation for Kentec products
  • To keep up to date with current technologies in the fire industry
  • To keep up to date with product standards

Skills, Experience and Person Specification

  • Must have experience in the Fire industry
  • Familiar with product terminology and knowledge
  • Confident in delivering training, advising and troubleshooting problems
  • Excellent customer-facing skills
  • Must be reliable, conscientious and hard working
  • Familiar with MS Office products

  • Working hours: Monday-Thursday: 08:30-17:00, Friday: 08:30-16:00
