Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per annum

This is a senior finance leadership role within a growing operational business delivering essential services. The position offers the opportunity to have a real impact on performance, decision-making, and long-term planning, while leading and developing a capable finance function.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality financial reporting, providing commercial insight to senior stakeholders, and supporting strategic and operational objectives across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and develop the Finance and Administration teams
  • Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts
  • Work closely with senior leaders on budgets, forecasts, and financial planning
  • Oversee cashflow management and forecasting to support operational needs
  • Provide clear financial insight to improve profitability and commercial performance
  • Support pricing decisions and input into tender and bid submissions
  • Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Manage and coordinate the annual external audit
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, controls, and governance requirements
Experience & Qualifications
  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA)
  • Strong experience producing management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
  • Proven capability in cashflow management and financial planning
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing finance teams
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Commercially minded, proactive, and comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels
