Are you a strong, compassionate clinical leader with experience in substance misuse? We're looking for a Clinical Manager to lead and shape a specialist team supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol dependency.

The Role

As Clinical Manager, you'll lead a multi-disciplinary team, including non-medical prescribers and nurses, working across both drug and alcohol services. You'll play a vital role in developing care pathways, enhancing clinical standards, and ensuring safe, effective service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership and line management to nurses, prescribers, and admin staff.

*

Oversee clinical performance, workforce planning, and rota management.

*

Develop integrated care pathways and work with local health and social care partners.

*

Promote safe, evidence-based clinical practice, in line with NICE and national guidance.

*

Manage clinical governance, audits, risk assessments, and incidents.

*

Support continuous improvement using data, feedback, and learning from incidents.

*

Oversee training, supervision, and development of clinical staff.

*

Participate in research and maintain awareness of developments in the field.

What You'll Need

Essential:

*

Registered Nurse (1st level)

*

Non-Medical Prescriber (V300)

*

Experience in clinical leadership within substance misuse or a similar setting

*

Strong understanding of clinical governance, risk management, and regulatory standards (e.g. CQC)

*

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills

*

Knowledge of blood-borne virus screening and managing test results

Desirable:

*

Master's degree or ANP qualification

*

Experience preparing for CQC inspections

*

Background in working with complex needs, mental health, or infectious diseases (HIV, Hepatitis)

*

Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing techniques
