IT Support Engineer – Temp to PermLocation: Colchester - on-site requiredWe are currently recruiting for an IT Support Engineer to join a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing company located on the outskirts of Colchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established business, providing essential IT support across a wide range of systems and technologies.As an IT Support Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of the internal IT team, serving as the first point of contact for day-to-day IT support queries. You will play a key role in maintaining the smooth running of IT services across the business, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and supporting both office-based and manufacturing staff.This is a temp-to-perm position, offering a clear path to permanent employment depending on performance and company growth. It’s an ideal role for either a junior IT professional seeking hands-on experience alongside a recognised qualification, or a more experienced IT Support Engineer looking for a fresh challenge in a stable and growing business.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1st and 2nd line support to end users across the business
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
• Support the Microsoft 365 suite and other business-critical applications
• Assist with ERP system support – Microsoft Dynamics AX experience is a strong advantage
• Collaborate with the wider IT team on projects, upgrades, and system improvements
• Ensure timely resolution of IT tickets and maintain accurate documentation

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in a 1st/2nd Line Support role
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and core Microsoft applications
• Exposure to ERP systems, ideally Dynamics AX
• Familiarity with supporting users in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly beneficial
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
