My client in Penrith is looking for a Civil Engineer due to expansion.

The successful candidate for this post will be an experienced chartered civil engineer with a strong design consultancy background.

Key elements to the civil engineering post would cover:-

* Drainage design which would assume fluency with WinDes design package.

* Highway design relative to design of access roads, pavements, hardstandings etc.

* SUDS design.

* Channel modelling using HecRas.

* Preparation of both Section 104 and Section 38 applications.

* Preparation of flood risk assessments.

* Design of flood protection measures.

* Liaise with regulatory bodies.

* Liaise with clients.

* Technical report preparation.

* Attendance of design and site meetings.

* Supervising technician/graduate engineers.

* Preparation of quotations.

* Managing project expenditure.

* Controlling workload.

* We would consider a UK driving license essential to carry out the above noted roles.

* Candidates must have a sound working knowledge of all relevant British Standards, Codes of Practise and CDM regulations.
