Location: North Lincolnshire
Start Date: ASAP / After May Half Term / September
Contract: Full-time, Long-term / Temp-to-Perm
Salary: £85-£100 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

GSL Education is currently looking for dedicated and resilient Specialist Teaching Assistants to support a range of SEN schools across North Lincolnshire. We work closely with a number of settings that cater for pupils with a variety of needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs.

These are rewarding opportunities for individuals with experience in SEN or care-related roles, who are looking to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable learners.

The Role:

As a Specialist Teaching Assistant, your role will involve:

Providing 1:1 or small group support tailored to the individual needs of pupils

Assisting with learning activities under the direction of the class teacher

Supporting the emotional, social, and behavioural development of students

Helping to maintain a calm, safe and inclusive environment

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

✅ Previous experience in SEN/SEMH support (school, care, residential or youth setting)
✅ A calm, patient, and empathetic nature
✅ Strong behaviour management or de-escalation skills
✅ A willingness to adapt and work flexibly across different classes or year groups
✅ A relevant qualification is beneficial but not essential (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Team Teach, MAPA)
