A welcoming, Lancashire County Council-run nursery in Lancaster is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant / Early Years Practitioner (EYP) to join their dedicated early years team. This is a full-time position working term-time only, providing vital support in a nurturing and child-led environment.

• Support the delivery of a stimulating, play-based curriculum in line with the EYFS

• Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging activities that promote children's learning and development

• Build strong, caring relationships with children and their families

• Observe, monitor, and record progress in line with EYFS frameworks

• Promote a safe, secure, and inclusive environment for all children

• Work collaboratively with a team of nursery staff, key workers, and management

• A minimum Level 2 Early Years qualification (Level 3 preferred)
• Experience working in an early years or nursery setting
• A caring, nurturing, and patient approach
• Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
