On behalf of our client, a well-established and reputable Civil Engineering Contractor recognised for delivering high-quality engineering and construction solutions, we are seeking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer for infrastructure projects based in  Renfrewshire.

Role Overview

As Site Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the Site Agent to ensure projects are managed effectively and delivered to programme. A solid background in civil engineering is essential, particularly with experience in infrastructure, road and bridge projects. Our client is committed to staff development, providing opportunities to work closely with the Site Agent.

Your responsibilities will include:

Setting out works.

Carrying out initial survey and site investigation activities.

Implementing strategies as agreed with management.

Verifying design plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy.

Assisting with the management of construction operations.

Contributing to re-measurement and valuation of the contract.

Supporting tendering activities, including surveys, bulk earthworks quantities and value engineering.

Overseeing quality assurance and health & safety on site.

Preparing method statements and risk assessments.

Supporting the team with additional site engineering duties as required.

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

A minimum HNC qualification in Civil Engineering.

Previous experience within a civil contracting environment.

A background in infrastructure, road and bridge projects (preferred).

Proficiency in setting out and surveying (essential).

Knowledge of CAD (desirable).

CSCS card and 3-Day First Aid certification (advantageous).

SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.

A full UK driving licence.
