Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00am - 17:00pm
Pay: £31.71/hour - Standard £50.74/hour - Bank Holidays

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Band 8b pharmacist to join an acute trust on a ward-based assignment. This senior role involves providing advanced clinical pharmacy services across key specialities, including:

-          General Medicine
-          Surgery
-          Orthopaedics

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver and lead high-level clinical pharmacy services across assigned wards
Provide advanced medicines optimisation and clinical leadership
Oversee complex medicines reconciliation and therapeutic reviews
Act as a specialist advisor to multidisciplinary teams and senior clinicians
Support safe prescribing, clinical governance and policy implementation
Contribute to discharge planning, patient counselling and service improvement initiatives
 
Requirements:

GPhC Registered Pharmacist
Significant hospital experience at Band 8a/8b level
Strong clinical expertise within acute care settings
Ability to work autonomously and provide leadership within multidisciplinary teams
Excellent communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills
