Simple Recruitment are looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician for a 6-month fixed term contract opportunity with our client in Peasedown St John. The role may then have the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Job:
As Maintenance Electrician, you will provide technical support services and undertake reactive and planned maintenance across our client's site, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements. This will include fault-finding, diagnostics, planned maintenance and repairs a range of equipment across the site, such as:

* Heating and ventilation control systems.

* Lighting, sockets and small power circuits.

* Emergency lighting systems.

* Fire alarms.

* Low pressure hot water systems.

Further duties will include planning and carrying out the installation of equipment, testing and commissioning on completion. You will respond to emergency calls to lift systems, as needed, dealing with the situation calmly and efficiently following appropriate training. Further to this, with an understanding of other trades, will be able to carry out a range of tasks from other trades, with suitable training. You will work to deadlines and ensure records are updated and maintained.

About You:
You will hold an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification/apprenticeship, and will have previous experience in a similar role. This will include maintenance of building services and electrical equipment servicing and repairs. An Advanced Health and Safety Certificate and LV Authorised Person training would also be highly advantageous.

You have strong communication skills and will be able to work well both independently and as part of a team. You will be able to work to a high degree of professionalism and with a dedicated and systematic approach to work tasks.

The Salary:
£28,000 to £34,812 per annum, dependant on experience (actual salary based on contracted months worked).

The Hours:
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday (with an on-call requirement on a rota basis).
