Section Manager: Business - Finance and Management

Salary - £43,000 - £50,000 per annum Location - Hayes Contract Type - Permanent; Full-time (36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)

We are looking for a strategic and experienced Section Manager to lead the development and expansion of our Business, Finance, and Management curriculum. This is a pivotal leadership role designed for someone who can drive student achievement while successfully managing a dynamic team of educators.

Role Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy: Lead the development and expansion of the Commercial and Professional curriculum, including Work-Based Learning.
Management: Assist the Head of School in managing staff, providing supervision to course teams, and deputising for the Head of School when required.
Operational Oversight: Prepare course and staff timetables, ensuring the maximum use of accommodation and staffing resources.
Employer Engagement: Liaise with external organisations and employers to build new contacts, create commercial business opportunities, and facilitate workplace programmes.
Quality & Evaluation: Provide leadership in teaching and learning by implementing quality policies, target setting, and conducting annual graded lesson observations.
Teaching: Deliver high-quality teaching across a range of programmes according to your specialism, which may include AAT and Higher Education (HE) programmes.
Student Success: Oversee recruitment activities and ensure the implementation of tutorial and careers guidance policies to support student retention and achievement.Essential Requirements

Expertise: Considerable subject-based and pedagogic knowledge within Business, Finance, and Management.
Leadership Skills: Experience in staff supervision, induction, and performance management/appraisal processes.
Curriculum Knowledge: Ability to develop and implement new schemes, including submissions to awarding bodies.
Safeguarding: A deep understanding of and commitment to safeguarding legislation and the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
