Summary of Position

Responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet quality standards and customer requirements by carrying out dimensional inspections on all manufactured parts, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and relevant industry standards. Ensure the delivery of high-quality products by conducting inspections and audits and play a key part in increasing Quality efficiencies and maximising use of new technologies, equipment and software, including CMM programming.

Core Responsibilities

1. Quality Inspection of parts across all aspects of production maintaining product conformity promoting a Quality culture

2. Main point of contact for all visiting inspectors and production queries

3. Provide advice and solutions for all issues relating to quality control within the production areas.

4. Interpret all dimensional requirements relating to customer drawings and specifications

5. Accurately document Quality processes and update systems

6. Ensure all Inspection equipment is maintained to the appropriate standards for operational requirements.

7. Apply new technologies to completion of documentation relating to Quality Control including, Inspection reports and Certificates of Conformity, PPAP Information, ISIR's, 8D reporting.

8. Make key decisions over Re-work, Scrap being required or not - Communicate to Production Manager & Manufacturing Senior Manager as and when required.

9. Ensure all Quality inspection requirements are met daily and inspection and test equipment is calibrated.

10. Process NCRs relating to Customer Complaints and Quality Control Issues in conjunction with the Quality Section Leader/Production Manager/Quality & Compliance Manager

11. Optimise and structure CMM / Quality Equipment Programming to maximise coverage and usage of inspection equipment and ensure compatibility with integrated Quality systems.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience/Skills

* Experience: within an engineering/manufacturing role

* Engineering Qualification

* Previous experience of Quality Inspection in an engineering environment

* CMM / Quality Equipment Programming Skills (Keyence, Mitutoyo MCOSMOS, Faro programming experience / qualifications preferred)

* Experience of processing Certificates of Conformity, PPAP's, ISIR's, 8D reporting

* knowledge of ISO 9001

* CAD skills (Auto-Desk Fusion preferable)

*Good level of physical fitness to be comfortable working on your feet for long periods and some manual handling.

* Organised and proficient work ethic with good attention to detail
