Senior Financial Accountant

£60,000 - £66,000 + Excellent Benefits

A leading business is recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join its Group Finance team in Liverpool. With operations spanning multiple countries, this is a high-profile role offering direct exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to make a real impact within a complex, fast-moving organisation.

• Preparing consolidated monthly group management accounts across UK and international operations

• Managing the year-end audit process and acting as lead contact with external auditors

• Overseeing VAT submissions and providing UK VAT guidance

• Implementing and communicating changes to accounting standards (IFRS) across the group

• Leading finance projects that drive process improvement and efficiency

• Managing group overhead reporting and ensuring cost control at director level

• Supporting the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and board-level financial information

• Acting as a key point of contact for all divisions, advising on group finance policies and practices

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with:

• Strong technical financial accounting experience

• In-depth knowledge of IFRS and group consolidations

• Proven experience of managing audits and liaising with external auditors

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders

• Strong problem-solving, project management, and organisational skills

• Advanced Excel skills (SAP experience an advantage)
