Principal Civil Design Engineer
Leeds | Full-Time | Permanent | £45-60k DOE

An exciting opportunity to join an established, employee-owned engineering consultancy with a strong UK presence and a reputation for delivering innovative, sustainable design solutions.

This role sits within the civils team working closely around structures - delivering high-quality roads and drainage design solutions that support complex building and infrastructure projects across a diverse portfolio.

The Role

You will take a lead technical role in the design and delivery of:

• Highways design (S38/S278)

• Surface water and foul drainage strategies (S104/S106)

• External works and levels coordination

• Detailed drainage and road design packages aligned with structural schemes

• Technical approvals and stakeholder coordination

You'll be working on varied projects across sectors including residential, commercial, education, healthcare and regeneration - offering real technical breadth and project ownership.

Technical Requirements

• Strong experience in roads and drainage design around structures

• Proficient in Civil 3D and Causeway Flow

• Experience producing detailed design drawings and calculations

• Knowledge of UK design standards and approval processes

• Ability to manage projects or lead elements of delivery (Principal level will involve team leadership and client management)
