We're working with a Newark-based business looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 2 years' experience. If you're looking to build on your existing knowledge and take on more responsibility in a supportive, flexible environment, this could be the perfect move.

Key Details

* Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience)

* Location: Newark - 4 days office / 1 day WFH

* Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hours/week, 1-hour lunch)

About the Role

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role supporting the commercial team on a variety of construction projects. Your day-to-day will involve:

* Managing project costs and budgets

* Contract administration and document management

* Assisting with subcontractor packages and valuations

* Working closely with site and project managers to ensure cost-effective project delivery

* Contributing to project reporting and forecasting

What We're Looking For

* Some experience in a Quantity Surveying role

* Ideally degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

* Good knowledge of construction contracts and cost control principles

* A proactive, detail-focused mindset and strong organisational skills

* Strong communication and a team-first attitude
