These SEN Teaching Assistant jobs focus on providing dedicated one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs, helping them access education, build confidence and achieve positive outcomes.All pupils supported in these roles have an EHCP. Needs vary and may include Autism (ASC), SEMH, communication and interaction difficulties, sensory needs, learning difficulties or developmental delay.This role is ideal for candidates with experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, LSA, Learning Support Worker or Behaviour Support Assistant, or those with transferable experience from care or support settings.Key Responsibilities

• Providing consistent 1:1 support for a named pupil with an EHCP
• Supporting learning inside and outside the classroom
• Delivering strategies to support communication, emotional regulation and engagement
• Encouraging independence while offering reassurance and structure
• Working closely with the Class Teacher, SENCO and wider SEND team
• Monitoring progress and contributing to EHCP reviews and records

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND or EHCPs (school-based experience desirable)
• A calm, patient and empathetic approach
• Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs or challenging behaviour
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
