The role has been newly created to support the Financial Controller due to fast company growth. Role responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts in line with reporting deadlines
- Manage accruals & prepayments and journal entries
- Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies
- Produce monthly reporting packs for presentation to senior management/directors
- Support the budget & forecasting process through analysis and financial modelling
- Conduct monthly cost analysis and track KPI's
- Cash flow forecasting
- Support the financial controller with audit and year end preparations
- Support in the training and development of an accounts assistant
Person specification
- Part CIMA/ACCA qualified and currently studying
- Experience working within the manufacturing business would be an advantage but not essential
- Proven experience working as a management accountant with at least 3 years solid experience
- Some commercial awareness and ability to communicate confidently with non-financial employees
- Strong IT skills, particularly strong MS Excel skills are essential
- Supervisory or management of a small team would be an advantage but not essential
