We are looking for someone with experience in customs for an opportunity at one of our clients in Manchester. This role would suit someone who has experience in a freight forwarder or who completed customs entries on behalf of a company.This role is working in the road freight team so all of the customs documentation and entries will be for European Road Freight shipments. The company offers a friendly working environment where employees are valued and made to feel part of a team. The Directors want to look after their staff and they rarely have vacancies in the team.Main duties to include:

• Assist with general logistics and trailer department tasks, including data entry customs clearance procedures.
• Make and receive customer service calls, including following up on routed traffic and enquiries.
• Provide general office support as required.

We’re looking for:

• Previous experience in logistics
• Knowledge of customs
• Confident and professional telephone manner.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive and able to follow through on tasks independently.
• A team player willing to assist where needed.

• Hours: 9am-5pm Mon-Fri with 1 hour for lunch
