Their services include Secure Transport, Wellbeing, 24 Hour Care Services, Residential Children's Home, 24 Hour Hospital Watch. About the role:

Our client is seeking a Transport Coordinator to oversee and coordinate transport requests from start to finish. You will be responsible for tracking all job details, ensuring smooth delivery of services and managing associated administration and compliance requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Transport Operations Management

Oversee transport requests from start to finish

Keep all transport details tracked and updated to ensure targets are achieved.

Liaise with EDT (Out of Hours team) to ensure they are informed of any changes in relation to availability or processes.

Provide occasional on-call support during evenings and weekends in the absence of the Transport Manager, with additional remuneration provided.

Fleet & Vehicle Management

Ensure all vehicles are safe and meet legal requirements.

Manage vehicle maintenance and services across all fleet vehicles in all departments.

Coordinate or carry out vehicle movements for services, MOTs, and repair appointments as required.

Driver Performance & Compliance

Complete monthly driving analysis reports and provide each driver with a personal scorecard.

Communicate with drivers where concerns have been identified.

Assist in accident checks and reporting, including liaising with insurers and managing claims.

Oversee, monitor and complete all drivingbased assessments for any staff requiring vehicle use.

Scheduling & Resource Planning

Ensure the transport rota is maintained and completed monthly using their platform.

Technology & Systems Management

Be responsible for all Transport Department technology

Manage the vehicle telematics system (Teletrac Navman Director), including vehicle tracking and driver key codes.

Make amendments to Excel and Google Sheets using formulas where required.

General Responsibilities

Complete any reasonable and lawful instruction related to work as directed by an authorised person

Requirement and Skills

GCSE in Maths and English

A Full UK Driving Licence

Participate in compulsory training when required to attend

Maintain confidentiality at all times, in accordance with agreed policy

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Excellent IT literacy, particularly Excel and Google Sheets

Effectively communicate with colleagues and external stakeholders at all levels

A passion for working for a unique organisation that supports children and young people experiencing exclusion who are often on the edge of care or being looked after by Local Authorities

Willing to undergo a DBS check (or already holds one)

Two checkable references required
