SANZA Teaching Agency is thrilled to present a youth mentor position at a specialised school in Wandsworth working with 15-16 year old boys who have social, emotional, mental health needs - offering £95-£100 per day depending on experience with salary review at October half-term!

We're looking for a resilient, determined youth mentor and TA to join this alternative provision environment supporting students who require strong role models.

YOUR POSITION

This behaviour mentor position is both demanding and fulfilling. You'll be:

Working with students who have (SEMH) social, emotional, mental health needs in intimate classes of 8 teenagers
Serving as a youth mentor with KS4 boys who are passionate about football and need dependable, steady role models
Delivering academic assistance and social care within this alternative provision environment
Establishing meaningful connections while providing TA support to students encountering social difficulties
Assisting students to break through obstacles and engage with learning despite their challenges
Applying mentoring expertise to support students through difficult circumstances and educational development
Creating significant change in this intensive educational settingOUR REQUIREMENTS

We seek a determined behaviour mentor with authentic dedication to supporting young people with SEMH needs navigating difficult situations.

Preferred background or attributes (not essential for candidates with suitable mindset and character):

Background as a TA (Teaching Assistant), behaviour mentor, youth mentor or in social care - especially in alternative provision or PRU environments
Knowledge of social, emotional, mental health difficulties experienced by young people
Strong behaviour management capabilities appropriate for SEMH students in intensive settings
Firm yet caring methodology when supporting challenging students - with clear boundaries
Background in SEN environments, youth services, or delivering social care preferably Wandsworth located
Team Teach certification valuable for managing difficult circumstances
