A well-regarded secondary school in Willerby, Hull, is seeking a dedicated Design Technology Technician to join their team this September. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in preparing, maintaining, and supporting engaging lessons in the Design Technology department.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain tools, equipment, and materials for lessons in areas such as resistant materials, product design, engineering, or graphics
• Ensure all equipment and machinery is safe, clean, and ready for use
• Support teachers during practical lessons, providing technical assistance where required
• Help students use tools and equipment safely and confidently
• Monitor and maintain stock levels, ordering materials when necessary
• Uphold health and safety standards within the workshop and classroom environment
• Assist with displays of student work and contribute to creating an inspiring learning space

What We're Looking For:

• Practical experience or qualifications in Design Technology, engineering, or a related technical field
• Good knowledge of workshop tools, machinery, and safety procedures
• A proactive, organised, and flexible approach to supporting lessons
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students
• Previous experience in a school or educational environment as a Design Technology Technician (desirable but not essential)
• A commitment to promoting a safe and engaging learning environment
