Trade Counter Sales Assistant- Leyton

£20,000-£22,000pa

Permanent 40 hours per week

Our client is currently hiring for a proactive and customer focused Trade Counter Assistant based for their office based in Leyton.

You will be an experienced administrator with superb communication skills both over the telephone, email and face to face who enjoys being part of a small team. You will have a proven track record in providing a similar customer service, ideally in a sales or retail environment. You will be IT literate and ideally have some experience of using SAP although this is not essential. Attention to detail is key in this role, as well as the ability to prioritise your workload.

You will be selling a variety of door hardware products processing orders over the phone and via email as well as over the counter.

Providing quotations, and offering advice you will be required to maintain stock levels, process orders and produce credit notes working towards branch KPI's and goals.

The role will mainly be office based, therefore you will need strong IT skills and previous experience within an administratrative role.

You will also be required to carry our local collections and deliveries so a driving licence is required and a fork lift licence would be a distinct advantage

Your role will be to deliver a first class service to customers by dealing with enquiries in a timely manner, providing quotations and offering advice where needed. You will be required to maintain stock levels, process orders and produce credit notes. You will be expected to actively contribute towards KPI’s and Company goals, as well as embracing LEAN ideas to help improve the efficiency of the business.

Expected Skills and Experiences:

  • Previous experience selling a large product range, and processing online orders.
  • Strong IT skills are essential, SAP would be desirable.
  • Great customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

A manual driving license would be advantageous but not essential for the role, there is a small warehouse based at the Trade Counter therefore general warehouse duties may be required when necessary.
