Advanced manufacuring company in Newnan, GA is hiring AGV Technicians to support the build-out and validation of large-scale automated guided vehicle systems. This is a hands-on, technically demanding role with real visibility. Your work directly determines whether robotics systems ships to a customer. What You'll Do

You'll work hands-on in the test lab and production environment supporting the full commissioning lifecycle,  from mechanical validation through structured pre-shipment testing.

  • Perform final mechanical inspections of AGV assemblies, including torque specs, fastener integrity, and structural alignment
  • Conduct electrical continuity checks, harness verification, and support safe power-up procedures
  • Validate sensor functionality (encoders, proximity sensors, limit switches, etc.) and perform I/O testing
  • Execute structured test protocols prior to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
  • Conduct motion testing, safety verification, and communication checks between AGV and control systems
  • Support simulation testing, performance benchmarking, and root cause investigations alongside engineers
  • Document test results, non-conformances, and corrective actions accurately and consistently
  • Maintain organized test areas and contribute to continuous improvement of work instructions

What We're Looking For

  • Associate's degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Robotics Technology, Electrical or Mechanical Technology, or equivalent hands-on technical experience
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Proficiency with multimeters, torque tools, and basic diagnostic equipment
